About Open Chiari
Open Chiari is a free, independent website that helps people see and understand Chiari malformation, and points them to the organizations and research moving the field forward.
How the content is made
- Medical facts are adapted from the NINDS fact sheet and peer-reviewed research, listed on each page.
- The 3D model is built from Z-Anatomy and BodyParts3D, open anatomy data.
- Text and every 3D view are checked against the published sources listed in the evidence notes, by automatic measurements and independent audits, before they're published. They have not been reviewed by a medical professional. Last check: November 4, 2026.
- AI tools helped write the code and first drafts; every page is checked by a person.
